The story of the provider of Cyprus traditional villa accommodation

We were established in 1987 by Sofronis Potamitis, in an effort to revive rural communities and preserve the traditional houses of bygone days. With loving care, several family houses in the villages of Tochni, Kalavasos and Psematismenos were thoroughly renovated to provide comfort without sacrificing their original, rustic character and are all licensed by the Cyprus Tourism Organization.

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

Tochni was one of the most beautiful villages in the area. It suited us because it was very quiet. Renovating old buildings provides an immediate atmosphere to the holiday and is much better than staying in a new apartment.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

It is centrally located, but you still have to be prepared to travel if you want to make the most of the holiday.

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

Yes it did benefit local people, and in the respect of renovating old buildings it did minimize the impact on the environment. However, if you travel with children you definitely need a car in order to get to the beach or other tourist attractions. It is great for older people who maybe be happy to stay around the village. A good base for a cycling holiday.

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Very enjoyable.

We have been awarded 3 Greenstops in recognition of the company's environmental achievements. By preserving authentic houses we keep the architectional tradition of Cyprus and give locals an alternative source of income as well as providing them with jobs.
