Our apartments are very close to Crown Point, the westernmost point of Tobago and where the international airport is located, so although it can be a good idea to rent a car to get around, there are other options available if you're keen to be more environmentally friendly during your time holidaying in Tobago.
We offer airport pick ups when you arrive, and we can also help you arrange bicycle hire as well as guided tours around the rainforest and rural areas of the Island. As well as on land, there's plenty going on under the water too with spectacular coral reefs rich in marine life dotted around Tobago's coastline. There are many tour guides who operate responsibly to showcase the wonders of what lies beneath the shoreline in a way which ensures the marine biodiversity is preserved long into the future. If you're hoping to spend the majority of your time enjoying a laid back caribbean break, we have a lovely garden rich in plants and flowers which is often visited by the area's native birdlife. There are also places nearby to stock up on fresh, local produce including a bakery and local green grocer who can provide you with wonderful fresh Tobago fruit! The closest beach is easily reachable by bike or a 45 minute stroll.
Many tourism businesses in Tobago are working to become more sustainable and we have installed a solar water heating system to reduce the carbon footprint of our business. We would encourage everyone to reduce waste, water usage and energy whilst visiting as this helps us to maintain a sustainable way of living and sharing Tobago with others.
We support a huge variety of businesses on Tobago, and we are all about sharing the benefits of tourism with others working and living here. There are local suppliers including a bakery and greengrocers within a short distance of the apartments and they see a lot of business from our guests who are often keen to get their hands of some beautifully fresh Tobagonian produce.
There are a range of fantastic tour guides who can show you Tobago inside and out, from its coastline and underwater reefs to the lush countryside areas and of course the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere located across Tobago. If we receive an enquiry but are already fully booked, we recommend another locally run B&B, Sunrise Inn also located within our village of Canaan.
Tobago is well known for offering a friendly reception to all its visitors, and we're always willing you give you tips on where you can experience the real, authentic Tobago, from culture and museums that can teach you about our heritage to tasty creole cuisine cooked by people with a real passion for fresh produce and traditional hearty cooking.
