This hotel is run with an organic ethos emphasising the importance of a lifestyle that incorporates seasonal, local and community based production with care for the environment and all things within it. The hotel gained much recognition when it became the first restaurant to be awarded Soil Association Certification in 1997 and then the Millennium Marquee Award for environmental excellence in 2000.
These high standards are carried through to the hotel. We are 100% organic and the garden and the kitchen are certified organic. We encourage biodiversity – we have a pond and wild uncultivated part of the garden.
We support the Soil Association and encourage our guests to join. All cleaning and laundering products are eco-friendly. All our soaps and toiletries are organic. We have showers and half flush toilets to reduce water use. We use environmentally friendly paints.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
