- Wherever possible we use local produce and employ local people to help run the guesthouse, this includes a gardener, plumber, electrician, builder and carpenter.
- Local workers collect our recyclable materials, mainly glass, plastic and cardboard, for which they receive payment. We pay appropriate fees or salaries to all employees or trades people.
- We purchase fruit and vegetables from growers, markets or street vendors.Where possible we use environmently friendly products in the house and garden.
- We provide fresh water and food for the local garden birds and use natural planting to attract beneficial insects. All appropriate garden and kitchen waste is composted. We also support the local fire station, staffed by volunteers, as our named charity.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
