Our Lake Atitlan hotel accommodation is an authentic eco resort, built and run with environmental and cultural commitment. Employees are all from the community and their friendly attention is an expression of our policy. We provide direct employment to five families and indirectly to 150 women weavers and nine painters.
We purchase different products produced locally and have contracts with local builders (buildings, decks, docks, huts, hammocks (7 entrepreneurs). We keep the Lake Atitlan shore as as clean as possible both in and out of the water. Sewerage is sent to safe holes far from the lake. We endeavor to give protection to a great variety of plants and animals, especially birds. The production and exclusive utilization of organic fertilizer is just one of our other environmental measures. As well as this we use several organically produced vegetables and coffee.
