Environment
We aim to maintain a sustainable environment and promote responsible tourism and simplicity of life. Therefore, our accommodation is simple and as eco-friendly as possible. All our water is pulled by wind and solar power and we have a small solar powered electric system in the main house.
No chemicals are used on the land.

Community
Alla la Daaro is committed to community developoment and has played a supporting and facilitating role in terms of the development of the village. We offer a wide range of activities which aim to promote the idea of responsible tourism to the Gambia. Not only these activities contribute to the local economy but also encourage the interaction between local people and visitors. We employ a team of young local people who live in and undertake all daily domestic, maintenance and gardening works.
We also provide for them ongoing skills training including organic gardening, plant care, refuse management and maintenance of tools, etc. All works have been undertaken by local people, from building the houses to ploughing and planting in the garden.
Landscape
Alla la Daaro is host to a wide variety of natural life including bees, birds, butterflies, insects and small creatures. Everything is done to maintain the ecossytem and the many natural plants and trees that grow there.
