Community
We employ people from the village for all local services. We encourage the use of local restaurants, shops, markets and transport. We do composting and recycling and encourage the villagers to do this as well. We purchase all our food locally, and all our staff are local.
Environment
We don't use any paper in our business - all our administration is done through the internet. We donate some of our earnings to "the Turkish foundation for combating soil erosion for reforestation and the protection of natural habitat "
We have a solar powered system for heating hot water. We also use energy efficient light bulbs and turn appliances off standby when not in use. We have showers and half flush toilets installed, and use eco cleaning products as much as possible, including eco washing up and eco balls for laundry.
We don't use any pesticides and fertilisers, because the soil here is very rich and we plant everything ourselves. We encourage wildlife in our garden and we have bird boxes, and some parts of the garden uncut to encourage wild growth and wildlife to flourish.
We compost organic and garden waste, we collect them in the 1,5 m X 1,5 m holl and mixed them regularly. We also recycle for all guests waste and we encourage guests to separate waste for recycling and from fethiye major come and collect them regularly.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
