Environment
Lower carbon travel:
We offer a reduction for all people that arrive by public transport. Depending on the season we offer from 10 to 20% reduction on accommodation. People with their own tent and with bike or public transport we apply a substantial reduction to €15 per night per 2 people instead of €28.
Environment:
Lake Bracciano is a natural water reserve for the big city of Rome (only in case of emergency) at the moment only the Vatican city can use its water to feed the Fontain in San. Pietro Square. The water is carried by a Roman Aqueduct dating back to 110 AC still working with just a gravidity power. Since 1987 motor boats are not allowed on the lake.
We are constantly improving our green credentials. All our water is recycled from the lake and further waste is recycled before being put back into the lake.
All showers at the camp are supplied by lake water and they can be use in 5 minutes (there is a timer) per shower. Wc is supplied by lake water and there is the recycle system as above. We also use the lake water in the garden. Our hot water is made by using solar panels and there are strict uses for waste disposal in appropriate bins.
We use Low-energy light-bulb, night illumination is control by a “interruttori crepuscolari “ with timer.
We are member of Quality Label of Natural Reserve of Bracciano and Martignano lakes. The facilities i.e food and lodging, purchasing local products etc are selected on the basis of Quality Control and adherence to the regulation imposed by the Regional Parks: promotion of the local territory, preservation of the natural environment and the historical traditions of the culture Quality guarantee of all services public access to services dedicated to low impact on the environment and local culture, at the same time, helping to generate and support local income employment, and the conservation of local ecosystems.
Community
Parco del Lago support his community by encourgae allt our guest to take a part of local excursion, and to visit local community in all the Etruria Area.
We have good working partnerships with local organisations and ‘not for profit’ associations such as the ‘Antico Presente’ RESPONSIBLE TOURISM www.anticopresente.it. They organize a Responsible tours in Etruria by: foot, horse back and Bicycle.

An Information point is avalable inside the Campsite, to share all the information about Natural Reserve and National Park all around.
