How this holiday makes a difference
Environment
Our resort is committed to sustainability, in the communities in which we operate and in the ecosystems we encounter. We seek to minimize the impact of our hotel operation by minimizing and properly disposing of waste, by conserving energy and water, and by educating the hotel staff to treat our environment with respect and great care. Non-chemical cleaning products are encouraged to use in hotel to reduce chemical harms to the community. We also support environmental training and many of our hotel staff are trained in principles of environmental sustainability, and will offer the guests some tips on how to conserve water, reduce waste, and otherwise minimize the environmental impact during their stay. We hope that our guests support our environmental program and take some of the conservation tips for continual practice back in their homeland.
Energy-saving policy: Realizing the importance of natural resources, the resort puts its effort in conforming energy-saving policy which includes:
- Organize monthly energy consumption report to control and minimize energy consumption in hotel.
- Replace normal light bulbs to energy efficient ones, while other electronic appliances, i.e, air condition, refrigerator, fan, etc., are also included in this energy-saving program.
- Use of timers on light switches for landscape, photo cell and water pumps. The air condition in guest rooms are set at 27°C, as referred by Green Leaf Foundation as the most energy-saving temperature for Southeast Asian countries.
- Switch off for all electronic devices both in vacant guest rooms and back office after working hour. For water consumption and other environmental policies, we have initiated the following practices:

- Reuse waste water for garden.
- Environmentally-focused community development projects: The community development aspect of our hotel is directly focused on providing education and guidance concerning environmental protection to community members, which also include beach cleaning, gardening and planting trees for the sake of our Ao Nang community.
- Joined transfer: To minimize carbon dioxide emission from caused by transportation, our hotel encourages the guests to join transfer service at promotional rate.
- Corporate recycling/energy policy: Wherever possible, resort employees use recycled paper and recycle waste created in the office, as well as attempting to minimize waste created and be a "paper less" office. We also work to minimize energy and water consumption in our offices, and we encourage our partners to follow similar waste management and energy philosophies.
Community
We encourage our purchasing policy to set its priority in supporting quality local produce - vegetable, fruits and fresh meat. Hotel decorations and souvenirs for the guests, as well as some construction materials, are also included. The hotel also support locally owned tour operators and restaurants.
