We are committed to being a good steward of the land and the surrounding community. By farming organically, recycling, using renewable resources for utility needs when possible, and encouraging our guests to be conscious of their resource usage, we protect our land from non-sustainable use.
By supporting local artisanal producers, providing a supportive workplace for our employees, and encouraging our guests to be sensitive to local culture, and opening our property for public use on hiking trails, our Tuscany farmstay benefits the local community in many ways that traditional hotels are not able to.
We aspire to be a vacation destination that provides an opportunity for guests to be engaged, to participate in our community, to learn about sustainability, and take that knowledge home and apply it to their own community.
Traditional architecture plays an important role in the aesthetic of the Estate. Guests staying in these six-person farmhouses will appreciate the traditional vernacular tower in Palazze Torre, as well as the gracefully arched loggia of Casa Dami. In addition to preserving traditional architectural features, we have also tried to update our houses with modern energy and resource-saving tools from compact fluorescent bulbs, to gray-water recycling systems and rainwater catchment systems that store water from our many terracotta rooves for use in our organic garden vegetable garden.
Guests are also encouraged to recycle paper, metal, and glass in our recycling room and to collect their own compost and add it to our compost heap or help us feed the pigs. In this way, despite our ebbing and flowing guest population, we do not have mountains of trash going to local landfills.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
