We conserve energy by using where we can energy efficient light bulbs. We control our central heating to avoid waste. We provide information to our guests and encourage them to switch off lights and appliances when not in use we practice this ourselves. We recycle everything; clothes and furniture are donated to charity shops. We try to cut down on paper by conducting most of our business via internet and email. The paper we use has been recycled.
Scraps are given to the dog and other food and garden materials are composted. We grow organic fruit and fertilisers or pesticides are never used in the garden. We encourage wildlife by growing plants and shrubs that they are attracted to and we provide bird houses, baths and feeders for the birds. We ensure that we save water by installation of showers instead of baths and our guests are made aware of the policy that we launder towels every second day.
We always recommend local restaurants, some menus are available in the rooms. We donate good quality clothing, furniture, bric a brac books etc to local charities. All produce etc is purchased from local butchers, fishmongers farmers etc. We encourage our visitors to eat in local restaurants, buy local goods and encourage them to travel by local transport where possible.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
