How this holiday makes a difference
Environment
The house was constructed only from the local materials with minimum impact to the environment.
We are 100% eco- friendly and we use alternative sources of energy as solar panels. We use low volt lighting and have A+ class equipment such as fridge and we never use such a equipment as tumble dryers or microwaves. We offer to our Guests possibility to change linen once week as well as towels because of responsible water usage.
We recycle and have bins to collect organic waste that can be given to our chicken. We also encourage our Guests to recycle and save the water by providing written information how they can do that in the most efficient way. Land that surrounds the house has been never changed by us, all the plants that grow there are natural part of the environment.
Community
We promote rural tourism and local restaurants as well as activities (local markets, local ecological food from Lanzarote´s farmers, Canarian local shops). We also sell some ecological fruits and vegetables from the garden that we have in the other part of the island. We never use pesticides in our gardens. We do support all ecological projects that take place on our island.
We are taking part in the charity project of 9 lives foundation that helps feed cats in certain points (“cats cafes”) in the hotels and apartment complexes with hope of reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens on the island. The foundation also help the feral cats.
