We are a family run highly commited to Santorini's culture and architecture.
All rooms have energy slot cards and also all the lights in the rooms and all over the hotel (including the swimming pool lights) are with energy and economy saving lamps.
Our location will provide you a direct contact with the real people of the island and their stories. You will get to try their own special products. We suggest our guests to visit local sites that most of the travellers don't get to see. Also we encourage to attend various cultural, musical and traditional events. We suggest local tavernas with selected local delicacies
We have showers and half flush toilets. We have water tanks to collect the rain water and we use this water for our garden. Our garden is grown without chemical fertilizers but only natural products . Furthermore we compost all organic waste of the hotel. Waste disposal is kept to an absolute minimum and left over food is always used to feed our family's poultry and pets. We try to employee to come from our local community. We have used and continue to, only the skills of local craft and handymen. Also we promote local products, art crafts and handicrafts from our area. Our guests will get the chance also to try products that we produce our selves like our most succesfull product: the sun dried cherry tomatoes. Our wine list is consisted only from local wines. This is the least we can do for a vineyard that grows only here and is one of the oldest in the world!
We are very proud of our garden that has been taken care of us with a lot of love and work and includes only plants and flowers that blend with the local environment.
Hiking in Santorini is different from anywhere else, because the volcanic formations and terrain offers a different scenery. we offer routes and paths with detailed maps and descriptions that will give you the chance to see that Santorini and not only the public places everyone knows. Santorini is the perfect place to experience the creative power of a volcano thanks and discover archaeology thanks to the very important prehistorical site of Akrotiri (the so called mythical land of Atlantis) which is located only 1 km away from our property As we are from this beautiful island we try to cherish the local legacy and heritage, and that we try to pass to our guests.
