The land at our Ariege accommodation is closely managed in conjunction with our local farmer, who uses traditional farming practices. We try to only use bio-friendly products in our garden and house. We have a fosse (non-mains) that is carefully controlled using bacteria, which runs clean water into our adjoining field. We run our heating using our own wood (or wood bought from local suppliers). We recycle up to 60% of our waste at our Ariege accommodation. All vegetable kitchen waste is fed to our two pet pigs. Anything that is left, and grass clippings are used for compost. We use wherever possible energy saving measures, such as low watt bulbs. We encourage our guests to save energy and water. We strive to use email in our business practices, to keep our office as paper-free as possible.
We buy all our animal feed from the local Farmer’s co-operative, and use the local village shops for food as much as possible. Through our Ariege accommodation we support and recommend to our guests local bars and restaurants. The majority of our guests utilise our immediate local amenities on a regular basis. We have an ‘international pizza night’ every Thursday at our village bar, where friends and guests enjoy the local mobile pizza van! We are closely integrated with our local community; our children attend the local school.
We support the school charity causes, both financially and with our time, helping out at school events. We are acutely aware of the need to respect and understand the traditions and values of the region. We encourage our guests to adopt a similar approach to their holiday.

We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
