Environment
We serve all local food, including cold drinks. all our rooms are example of sustainable architecture . while running this home stay we have taken villagers long with us, so that they have their lively hood at there village. All our construction is made out of local stone, and with local labour. entire village conserve wild life here. hornbills, leaperd, rabbit, wild bore are usually seen here in property. All Native trees are there in the property and also all new plantation is only native trees. so that its a good habitat for the birds here.
We serve food which is made out of vegetables fresly grown in our farm, We have only organic farming culture. there is no swimming pool, as we use natural river adjusting to our property for swimming. Smoking, Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited inside the rooms and property of Atithi Pariany. We have cycles for the guest to go to beach, or a bull cart, water is clean and ample which is also in the property as we have our own natural springs in the property. We have raised our our voice against monocular.
Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Made it a habit to reduce the things we need or we consume. Purchase only things that we only need and eat only what we can. Let us do our share not to be part of the problem or should I say part of the garbage problem. Reuse all the things that can still be repaired/fixed or those things that are still okay. metal we don't use as fossil fuel is very limited.
Community
We have stopped grazing in our area, solar energy is used for lamps, water is been taken to the rooms by gravity. Water from bathrooms been taken to the trees. As there are no chemical sops or shampoo we use. when guests come we take them to the village. and show them more sustainable houses and the routine of the villagers. Plastic use is prohibited inside the property. also entire property is plastic free. we have ganesh festival here, all ganesh idols are made out of earth clay. so that they can desolve in water, and not at all harmful to the nature. our festival Diwali we celebrate with no cracker, so we automatically reduce air and noise pollution to 0%
We have supported to conserve mangrooves here and that has been a success. Day trek through the jungle which can take to Ganapatipule. The experience is tried and tested and would definitely leave you spell bound.These activities would culminate with sumptuous lunch or dinner made in the authentic Konkan style that would leave you in satiated. We also educate our guests about environmental friendly way of leaving. we separate our dry and wet garbage. and make manure out of wet garbage. all other dry garbage goes for recycling.
