traditional use of raw materials for floor coverings -In the rural areas there is a tradition of covering the floor with a mixture of cowdung ,mud and husk .Adouble layering is done by hands mainly by women .Once dried this is a natural disinfectant it keeps the flies and mosquitoes away ,gives a neat look to the floor,keeps the area cool and pleasant .Mandanas -floor drawings add to thebeauty and give a festive look to the area .For all festivals the method is repeated.
Rain water Harvesting is important in the semi arid regions of Rajasthan as it works towards raising the water table.Growing trees and plants helps in the same as well the local flora and fauna gets conserved ,Birds like the common sparrows need the bushes as their natural habitat to survive . To list the various birds visiting the area is on the agenda ,as winter migration brings a lot of birds from far and wide .
Community
Artisans and craftsmen are special and need to be promoted. Artinnjaipur works towards assisting the artisans community by direct interaction and promoting village & community visits by the guests.

The Blue Factory Centre
Jaipur is the home of Blue Pottery and marble sculptures and this room is our humble salute to this age old craft. The theme here is Blue Pottery and the prominent colours used are blue and white. The room houses different specimens of blue pottery and marble artworks. The room comes with a dressing room with the same theme. Located on the first floor it opens to the artists terrace studio. The lobby on its entrance is also a library.
The Artist’s Pride
Wood is an integral part of the lives of people in Rajasthan. It was only natural that artisans have used this as a medium for their creative expression. This room, based on Arts and crafts of mixed media-textiles, toys and other artifacts carved from wood. Miniature paintings from Bundi and Kishangarh adorn the walls; handcrafted wooden toys serve as bedside companions and a replica antique bed come together to ensure you live in a virtual art room.
Situated on the ground floor, the room has 3 large windows with white and blue curtains and opens on the eastern section of the garden which houses mango trees, a fish pond and a creeper jasmine bush. There is an attached bathroom with a western commode, shower and mirror in blue porcelain frame.
The Writer’s Retreat
Situated on the ground floor, the room has a bay window which overlooks the main garden and the white wrought iron furniture placed there for evening open air get-together
