We believe strongly in responsible tourism. We live work and run holidays in a stunning mountain environment, below Europe’s highest peak. The untouched beauty of our adventure sports playground is its biggest attraction, and keeping it that way is one of our main priorities.
We support the Chamonix tourist offices campaign for an ‘eco-friendly’ town. Our chalet allows you to help us keep our promises to maintain the beauty around us. We recycle everything we can and reuse what is possible. Chalet Maverick is designed to be as economically friendly as possible. Double glazing, heavy insulation and local building produce were just a few of the steps we took to keeping our promise. Our staff are on hand to make sure heating and water is never wasted and only used when necessary. We actively promote public transport. We pay for Carte d’hotes which are issued to every client allowing them to use public transport for free and we use shared transfer to reduce emissions. Transfers, recycling and purchasing of produce are steps we are taking to always take into account our global footprint.
Due to the size of our business we have got to know our community very well. We only use local guides, as they are passionate and caring about where they live. Plus as they have been around for ages they know the area like the back of their hand and will show you the best places, routes and views! The produce we purchase is from local markets allowing us to provide you with the most traditional meals and equipment required is purchased from local shops within Chamonix. What better way to enjoy your activities on holiday then with the locale people whose country you have come to sample.
