Although there is no established definition of an eco-friendly policy, we have formulated our own, which we feel encapsulates the principles of eco-tourism and environmental issues.
We encourage holiday-makers to behave in an environmentally responsible way. We have harnessed the wonders of an unspoiled and remote tropical paradise. Natural resources are abound, with crystal-clear reef waters harbouring unmatched spectacular coral and ocean life, ideal for unobtrusive snorkeling; nature, wildlife and the possibility for cultural photography are just round the corner. These resources surround the house or are an easy (and non-polluting) walk away.
The accomodation is constructed of all local indigenous woods. You can prepare your food in our fully equipped kitchen or enjoy the lovely garden view off our twenty by fifty foot outdoor deck while using the outdoor gas barbecue. Rain water is collected from the roof and available for guests drinking and all waste water is collected and not allowed to get out into the ocean. Furthermore, fruit is grown on the property for guests eating, and gardens on the island supply vegetables, that can be purchased locally.
Entertainment (weekly) is performed by the local staff and villages and money in given to their social club for their efforts. We employ local people and prevent exploitation. We benefit the local economy by preventing leakages of the revenue acquired through tourism. We also use local services such as builders / electricians / plumbers for the maintenance of the property. Recent renovations continued our policy of using tradesman from the island.
We encourage our guests to visit local attractions, eat in local restaurants and buy local produce. We also encourage our guests to use public transport or local services.

You can trust responsibletravel.com reviews because, unlike many other schemes, reviews can ONLY be written by people who we have verified have been on the holidays. In addition, we don't run these holidays ourselves - our only interest is giving you the best independent advice.
