Environment
Because we are sensitive to all the possible savings to be made, we have long thought about saving energy and water. That's why we also decided to be Green to refine the details.
We only use low energy. All rooms are equipped with half flush the toilet. Information flows in the riad to educate customers to use water carefully, change the towels if necessary, turn off the air conditioner starting up or closing window when it works ... Short attention everyday
We use only Eco products since 6 month now
We separate waste yourself for recycle
We use solar panels for hot water
We thinking to offer a trip by Caleche for all guest you stay a minimum of 2 days for offsets Carbon
We use recycle paper only. We work from home sometimes, but you now the rules of a small hotel, we must be at the riad must of time for guest, maintenance, etc...
We work on the new Welcome Book dispatched on our room including Environment
The riad courtyards are covered by tarps that recover rainwater and we use to water plants
We have showers and half flush toilets
We use bio laundry, and change sheets and towels only by request
We know our wildlife, are committed to conserving it and encourage guests to follow our lead.
We free the land, sea and waterways from rubbish and pollution.
We show we understand why water is too precious to waste and, when it rains, we savour every drop.
We reduce our energy and find local renewable energy sources for our energy.
Community
At Riad Alegria we set up workshops with local artisans discovered the medina but also the surrounding area (countryside and mountains). We also discover the traditional souks outside the Medina, is a meeting with the communities. Finally, we organize a local association secured a half day in a house renovation for the future welfare of the neighborhood.
We also decided to use only locally produced products for our natural host (shampoo, soap, gel)
We work closely with a local company called "fair trade" with which we offer such bags out of recycled material (plastic cap, plastic bag, flour bag ...) and will soon make available our customers with bags to recycled courses
About Riad Renovation we use only local artisan company
We pay monthly fees for the promotion of Morocco abroad; taxes to maintain cleanliness in the district to a private company
When guest ask for local tour with a local association in a house renovation for the future welfare of the neighborhood, guest decide them self about the fee’s
We encourage guests to visit local attractions and I think our workshops and daily activities organized in or from the riad confirmed this point.
We buy only local products in the Medina
We recognise local issues and actively campaign to address them
We support local projects & people through volunteering, fundraising or charity
We sustain jobs and cultural diversity by supporting local craft makers and artisans, and promoting cultural attractions
We work to create good relationships between tourists and the local community
