Wildbrook retreat in Uttarakhand, India
How Wildbrook retreat in Uttarakhand, India makes a difference
Environment
Committed to sustainable and Responsible tourism, creating awareness among fellow travellers, strive for the campaign of Save Tigers in the world and inculcate the ideas of organic farming and providing natural surroundings to friendly travellers. Local wildlife includes elephants, leopards, tigers, deers, wild boars, apart from a range of hornbills, parakeets and a variety of other birds.
Believe in the philosophy of recycling waste and conserving energy, use of natural lightings, increasing the height of rooms, use of stones to keep the walls cool and for easy flow of air. Solar energy is harnessed in this property and properly utilized. Also utilize every drop of rain water so that there is no shortage or wastage in the area. Organic Food is served in simple way and locals are being hired who can also earn decent income working on the eco-resort. Food is not cooked on high flame so that all the proteins and vitamins in the food is kept intact and guests can enjoy the tasty food. Privacy of guests is ensured and maintained as minimal staff work on the resort, there are no unnecessary overheads. People can also interact with locals in the area if they want to and share their thoughts and ideas.
Community
Supporting the people who are striving hard to maintain the eco-logical balance and sustain themselves by promoting eco-friendly ways of staying and enjoying a place. Would recommend Jungle safaris and Bird watching tours One can also do something different like learning yoga in clean, open natural surroundings. Guests are shown around and accompanied while going for day trips or given guidance to see the surrounding places.
Would like to provide more awareness to people who want to visit some off-beat places and share my same views of responsible and sustainable tourism. This would also provide awareness amongst the new generation.
Guests at the same time feel at home being treated cordially and with respect and all minute details are shared with them. All information is provided to them in advance and on request. I would like to support the community surrounding the resort and promise that their well being is ensured. Would also like to ensure that the guests really enjoy staying here and also visit a few places around like Rishikesh and Haridwar known for the famous Ganga River in the upper course. The guests also get a glimpse of Indian culture, food, religion, food, local artifacts and of course, the people in this region.
