Even though Nepal is home to massive mountain peaks and impressive geography, it is actually an incredibly fragile environment. Deforestation, erosion, and overpopulation are becoming major problems in some areas of Nepal. Tourism, which has given the Nepalese new opportunities and resources, have also had a large impact on the consumption of natural resources. Our lives have revolved around Nepal's rivers, mountains and people. Nepal has captivated our imagination and our hearts, and throughout all the years inspired us.
For almost two decades we have been gaining knowledge and appreciation for these little known areas. We feel an increased responsibility to protect and preserve these wild places, and this is the message we convey to everyone. It is of the utmost importance to all of us that our interaction with the people we encounter along the way be positive and mutually beneficial. Social and environmental responsibility instils a sense of integrity that results in choices that have a positive effect on society, the environment and the development of compassion.
We at the resort have taken significant steps towards the protection of Nepal's environment and the people who live here. We provide real benefits to the local economy by encouraging local employment first and foremost, training staff, purchasing supplies and services locally and supporting people in the areas we visit.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
