Environment
Belonging to an island declared by UNESCO Reservation of the Biosphere and respecting all the requirements of the ITR (Institute for Responsible tourism) for the Hoteles of the Biosphere it is what we make ours declared in the World Letter Of The Sustainable Tourism.
We are devoted to preventing, eliminating any harmful impact that our facilities and activities, both internal and external may have on the environment.
- Low energy lighting by using sensors and timers in all the outside areas such as gardens, bars, pool areas and save bulbs in all the appartments. With this we have reduced our figures nearly a 6%. We encourage our guests to switch off the lights when going out to help us to reduce the consumption of energy
- We have facilities for recycling in several areas of the hotel. We ask our guests in our welcome book to separate in the room the glass, paper and plastic and our cleaning maids collect it and bring it to the containers.
- In the offices we ensure that appliance such as photocopier; printer and computer are turned off when not in use in order to reduce our energy consumption. We re-use the papers in all the offices
- In terms of water saving measures in apartments, there are notes for our guests that change towels only when requested by our guests and we save water by having installed also push-button in lavatories
- In our gardens we use recycled water and have a time and area system. We never use the washing machine at half capacity, and always wash with cold water if possible, in this way we reduce water end electricity consumption.

We subject all future expansion projects of our facilities or activities to rigid standards of sustainability and to the efficient use of resources. Since we hold the conviction that nature should not be used by a few in detriment of the common interest, we honour and respect nature even at a financial cost.

Our Hotel offers canarian and spanish dinner buffet during the week where we promote the fantastic Lanzarote wine with special offers for our guests and a wide range of local products to try these day. Every day we offer local dishes with the local mojos sauces. Special diets for coeliac adults or children by providing special meals previous reservation.
We suggest you to visit and enjoy the culture of Cesar Manrique on this special island by visiting his house or all the places he has created in the nature such as the caves Jameos del Agua o Cueva de los verdes and visit also Haria where he lived the last years of his life. We suggest you to visit the local markets on the Island and here in Costa Teguise where you can buy local products from local people, the concret dates and times are on our boards or through Reception.
