Environment
The hotel opened in 1998 extending its capacity in 30 rooms in 2011 joined to the old next Hotel Garajonay (registered as the first hotel of La Gomera in 1962) and adapted for the protection of the environment:
On the ground floor, are three special rooms for disabled people.
On The the top floor, are solar plates for hot water.
Among the measures implemented highlight:
- Delay switches and sensors for lighting in the corridors, and power switches with key cards in all rooms to reduce energy consumption.
- Cistern with download option might hold water and mixer taps with diffusers to reduce water consumition.
- Gel-diffusers in bathrooms to reduce waste
- Info about the use of washers and dryers brings great energy and water consumition, plus detergents and softeners pollute the water
-We encourage our guests to recycle paper, plastics, glass and battery and we take to a recycling point.
-The minibar Hipro technology get the sistem Fuzzy Logic II (0,6 kw /24 h.)

- Stay on the path. Shortcuts break the trace of the road and contribute to soil erosion.
- Respect the flora and fauna. If you want, take the memory with a photograph, you will not lose its beauty in minutes as a flower that you cut.
- The trash scattered in the bush, in addition to damaging the landscape, may be source of infection, fires accidents, etc. Bring a garbage bag and a put it in the containers by type.
- You must even pick up organic waste. The fruit peel, for example, is slow to decompose. If we let all the remains would not be the landscape.
- Be careful with fire. Do not throw cigarette butts. Remember the grave danger posed by an aversight.

Community
We are very much contributor to the local community employment only local people, that we training and will also pay for any relevant courses that they wish to take.
We provide travellers with a map showing the location of the village shops , traditional bars and restaurant, and encourage visitors to take a nature tour around the zone and visit the most representative monument. The Tower del Conde with the biggest Parque in the town .Christopher Colon monument situated and one of the nearest mounten to the Hotel Torre del Conde.
We encourage them also to visit Parque Garajonay that belong to Europarc Federation (European charter for sustainable Tourism in protected areas). The original purity of La Gomera´s nature has been conserved. The land is very steep and rugged an forms deep ravines which abrupty descend towards the sea, forming fertile valleys.
In the hotel the guest can used the library with book about the Flora and Fauna, also can find the most important route for walking people
In reception guest can used a tactile computer with video and information about Flora and Fauna in the Island.
The wonderful climate is mild with an average annual temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, allowing us to enjoy the beaches all year round.
The restaurant with a wide offer of traditional dishes of our island in our special menu.
In the breakfast buffet we offer home made marmelade and fruits of the Island.
