Environment
At Eco Beach, we take our environmental responsibilities seriously, and we are proud to be at the forefront of ecologically sustainable luxury tourism, in both Australia and the world. We offer luxury accommodation and eco friendly holidays close to Broome.
Being a Wilderness Retreat we prompt our guests to be thoughtful of their environment and the local wildlife. Wildlife to be found in and around the Eco Beach retreat includes dolphins, Dugongs, sea snakes, Agile Wallabies, Red Kangaroos, dingoes, frogs, goannas and a variety of lizards including Frill-necked Lizards.
There is also an amazing selection of wonderful seashore creatures including a variety of crabs and hermit crabs, octopi, sea anemones, sea cucumbers, sea stars and feather stars.
Our Eco credentials include sustainable energy use, reducing water consumption, reducing over-consumption and waste, fish for the future, bathroom cosmetics are made from natural products, virtually all paper products are 100% recycled, organic gardens provide produce to kitchen for guest and staff meals, kitchen scraps used as compost and to feed chickens, guests' motor vehicles are not allowed within the retreat and nature and cultural guides are available to guests.
We also run a turtle monitoring program along with Conservation Volunteers Australia.

Local trips can be organised with small partnership companies to Eco Beach. We offer deep sea fishing with Baradict Sports Fishing Charters, "My Country" indiginous cultural tours, bush-walking, bird/nature watching, vists to William Damper lookout, "The Cave" and Jack's Creek.
We are currently running a WWOOFA program at Eco Beach offering travellers and students volunteer work centred around gardening, land care and environmental rehabilitation. in exchange for accommodation and meals.
Our very name, Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat, shows that we are support our local area and community. Allowing our guests to experience the surrounding area with no usual pollutants and diversions we encourage them to care for their own community in a nautral way.
Trips to the local town of Broome can be arranged where there is a large range of local crafts and cultural items. With a range of tours available along with museums and heritage centres the time spent in the town of Broome can be a spiritual and learning time.
