Environment
All the staff of the hotel knows that life, weather and environment are changing and our objective is to help and contribute to do as much as we can to keep it in harmony. First of all, everybody knows that recycle is the best and easiest way to collaborate with the environment, this do not suppose a big effort for us and is a big help for the nature. Paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, oils...is separate and waste in different recipes depending of the material. We try as well to keep lights on only went it is necessary and switch off all the computers, printers, radios, TVs and lights that there not necessary during the night.
The water is an important factor as well, in all the rooms, restrooms and common places there are signs explaining that we can not waste the water and explaining to our guests and all the staff they have to be conscience with this and be sure of close it when we are not using it, for example, to wash our teeth we dont need the water running out all the time. The same with the towels on the room, we always recommend our guests to place the dirty towels in a specific place of the bathroom we they consider are dirty but if you only use a towel ones to dry your hands maybe you can use it again and not necessary send it to laundry, with this we try to help consuming less soap, energy for washing machine, water...
Community
We try to contribute with the environment in the measure of our possibilities first of all with the design of the hotel. The materials used are mostly stone and wood so this keep the building according with the rural environment were is located and can reduce the environmental impact in the village. There is no need here of big building of 5 or 6 floors. What most of the people is looking for when they choose this place is precisely that, nice places where they will receive a familiar treat, were they can a pleasant stay and feel like at home without big mass of people all over around. We offer this, a place full of peace, relax and quietness.
Our hotel have a little bar in our lobby we the guest can have a drink or coffee. There is wifi and internet point service, facilities that can be used for our guest and for the people of the village as well, with this we pretend to involve everything in the same place, locals and visitor. The hotel is only 5 min by car of the capital of the island but in this small village our guests can feel the magic and traditional way of living of the local people with their traditions and stories. Here our guest can feel and live the real life of the place, eat in the local restaurants and shopping in the little supermarkets were you can find all the local fruits, vegetables and many other things that local people use in their day by day.
