The resort has been built using only ecofriendly materials and is designed to give people an enjoyable nature based tourism experience on stunning monuments while creating minimal impact on the environment.
The electricity is provided by solar panels. The Sun holds out the promise for our energy future, due to the fact that this form of energy has been with us millions of years in the past and will be with us long into the future. Thus, the sun is our oldest and most basic source of energy. The sun’s energy is abundant, and ever-present. The sun, unlike fossil fuels or nuclear energy, will not pollute our air, water, and soil and is at such a distance that the harmful radiation effects are shielded by our earth’s atmosphere. Thus, solar energy holds great promise for our modern sustainable energy needs and can potentially eliminate our dependence on fossil fuels.
Hot running water is provided to you by gas geyser.
After the season, the nomadic camp will be moving to another lovely place. We will make sure that the spot will remain as untouched after our departure.
Ladakh is suffering from glacier melting. Tourism growing, more and more soft water is overused… We try to reduce the consumption to its minimum.

Tsemarang is the center of the travel meet, exchange, discovery of other cultures, favors the involvement of local populations in different phases of the tourism project, and a more equitable distribution of resources generated.
We are here to promote any sustainable action (association, NGO, student action…) which will help to preserve the ladakhi culture, wildlife, architecture…
We also do “cleaning trek” at the end of each season in different valleys (Changtang, Sham, Markha…) to compensate the passage of trekkers in the valley. We try to make guides, cooks, horsemen the need to carry plastic, cans and glass bottle with them and to create a collection at the end of the season.
Furthermore, we buy food directly from local communities.
And, most importantly, local people are our partners in ensuring its success. They have been trained in all aspects of running the resort, from housekeeping and cleaning to cooking, from serving food and drinks and solving maintenance problems to filling your room with the fragrance of fresh-cut flowers.
Finally, We choose suppliers that match our environmental values.
