The estate is an initiative which aims at transforming the natural beauty of the local lucky environment that surrounds us in an economic activity able to add value to it. Our guests have the opportunity to experience our passion of the traditional sense of hospitality together with the show of wild dunes and sandy shores that they would never expect. The best of our organic farming activities is offered in our restaurant enriched by our master chef.
The accommodation is an historical farm and the family who run the business are deeply tied to the community through an intense economic activity which dates back the 19th century. We organise a yearly event (last year it was a classic music concert with a German group of over 30 musicians) in order to raise funds for the purchase of equipment. We do inform those guests who are in the hotel during the event asking them to pitch in.
From the very beginning we aimed at saving energy by purchasing five 300 litre solar panels which guarantee 1500 litre of hot water for guests and restaurant clients thanks to at least 10 out 12 months guaranteed sun exposure. Half flush toilet contribute to saving water which is drilled from the property wells. We deliver our waste to a differentiated recovery waste eco-area (glass, tins, umid waste and paper).
Our vineyards are cultivated following the procedures of organic agricultural practises and our garden is often visited by wild foxes and our bird boxes host migrating birds. We produce D.O.C. wines and extra virgin olive oil. Behind the shores lies a system of wild sand dunes which belongs to the property and which has been preserved by our family from all the attempts of speculative urbanization. A close relationship with a local social activity group is being signed in order to exploit the dune system for touristic purposes, i.e. guided tours etc.
We are located in an area where to visit local natural and historical attractions becomes part of the experience of the vacation; therefore we continuously propose to our guests to follow our itineraries which include hints on suggested restaurants and/ or green shops.
All our staff come from the nearby villages; Antonio, responsible of the quality of the stay of our guests has recently joined the team but his integration in our family business is surprising. In our restaurant, what is not of our production is bought locally or provided by our neighbour farm.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
