All meals cooked with home-grown organic ingredients and freshly caught fish plus meat from local markets, Cretan wine straight from the vat. This is a family run business in a small local community and tourism income is very important to local people. The furniture in the taverna was produced by local craftsmen. Fish, freshly caught by owner, and much of the owner’s home grown produce is used or produce from the local area. Information pack and our representatives promote other local shops, tavernas and local places of interest, especially in the smaller rural communities.
As a company we aim to encourage local economic growth and to work in harmony with local communities and to respect their culture, traditions and environments. All of our owners (bar one) and suppliers used are local.
We prefer to employ the services of independent local business as suppliers in each of their destinations. We work with local car hire firms for all our car rentals, boat hire firms for boat rental and we utilize the services of local village shops and mini markets to compile our welcome hampers.
We also encourage our guests to use the services of local restaurants and shops, archeological sites/excursions - always booking through locals rather than large multi national companies. In addition to this we encourage our guests to visit local attractions and beaches within the area they are staying, as opposed to suggesting they go further afield.
We invite every traveller who books a holiday via us to send in a review. Because we don't run the holidays they're completely independent and unedited... remember to read between the lines though, as two people on the same holiday can have different views!
