introduction to Umbria B&B farmstay accommodation
Umbria B&B farmstay accommodation When Francesco and Monia Micci first saw the farm and old abandoned farmhouse in 1999, they were struck not only by the beautiful location overlooking Lake Trasimeno, but also by the fascination and energy of the place which combined the austereness of stone structures with the plasticity of a pristine natural environment in a harmony of colours, scents, and sounds.
This profound contact with the place and the choice of a lifestyle based on nature, tradition, and spirituality give birth to the plan of purchasing the farm in order to create an accommodation structure that would be a place for gathering, for well-being, for spirituality.
With our previous experience as experts on local development and tourism, we sought to combine our professional and personal experience with the strength, energy and fascination of the place to establish a place of sojourn characterized by the connection between man and the elements of the universe.
The charming landscape of Umbria surrounding the farmhouse alternates between a centuries-old olive grove with 500 trees, clusters of centuries-old pines, an ancient chestnut wood, a timber wood, cultivated fields, and the young orchard.
The view of the lake can be enjoyed from various spots, often in the company of small native hares, pheasants, and many species of small birds which can be easily seen thanks to the nearby nature reserve.
The farm's enviable position within the 42-hectare estate and its open boundaries on the Trasimeno hills offer many possibilities for trekking and discovering enchanting views and landscapes.
The property has no fences whatsoever, and there are numerous trails for trekking and horseback riding, made especially pleasant during certain periods of the year by gathering the abundant natural fruits offered by the farm (apricots and plums in summer; strawberry-tree fruit, hazelnuts and almonds in autumn, persimmons in winter, cherries and wild asparagus in spring).
The location is also the ideal starting point for longer treks through Umbria. The open boundaries on the Trasimeno hills crossed by a number of dirt trails offer many possibilities for mountain bike excursions. We will provide you with maps and directions for biking on your own. We also organize various theme weeks for exploring Lake Trasimeno by bike.

traveller reviews for Umbria B&B farmstay accommodation
Our holiday in Umbria was absolutely fantastic! The accommodation was beautiful and Francesco and Monia (the owners) took great care refurbishing the old farm house, being sensitive to the architecture, nature and the Umbrian tradition. (more)
