I hesitate to write this review for selfish reasons. Why? Because this holiday is so wonderful I'd rather keep it a secret! Situated on the southern slopes of Mt Batakaru in remotest Bali, this place is a pocket of paradise, far removed from the ravages of the 21st century. Having spent a week there I did not want to leave.
(more)We have had a wonderfully relaxing and peaceful time and have enjoyed exploring the local area and swimming in the pool. This was the perfect place for us to stay and we have been made really welcome, almost like a homestay but with our own bungalow and separate meals.
(more)All of it was memorable starting with driving up to the beautiful location, being welcomed by host Jos, who was incredibly kind and helpful, relaxing in the palms overlooking the water, and taking the interesting side trips that Jos set up for me.

If you are looking for a bit of quiet, secluded Filipino life then this is the place. The locals were all very friendly, the beach was beautiful and undeveloped. (more)Kerala was fantastic, the most memorable part was visiting a bird sanctuary... we arrived a this beautiful palace deep in the backwater set on a lake and were taken round in a small boat along water hyacinth lined expanses to see snake bird (darters) different types of kingfisher it was a stunning lake ride. The most memorable part of my holiday was being in such a calm, peaceful and gentle environment and experiencing the culture of a country that was completely different to that in the UK. Just as memorable was the kind and giving nature of the family who accommodated me. (more)
Our stay in the resort was wonderful. Nice accommodation like an oasis in a very remote part of Southern Leyte in Sogod Bay. Wonderful views, very helpful staff, friendly and responsible management. Really top! (more)
We had a wonderful time at this village. It was a good blend of relaxation and excursion. The host couple, Noi and David are very warm people and made efforts to make this trip a memorable one for us. Our 19 month old had great company with the village kids. (more)

Walking on a completely empty long golden beach, watching the monsoon rains from our windows and kayaking in the mangrove swamp and watching the monkeys were the highlights. (more)We find it hard to pull out one memorable part of our 3 days with Rajat and family at their wonderful home in the Nilgiri Hills. I think though if we had to pick one thing it would be the extraordinary warmth, hospitality and kindness bestowed on us by the family from the moment we stepped out of the car. We were made to feel like long-lost family or best friends.

This accommodation is a visually beautiful Portuguese villa, traditionally furnished in Portuguese style with enormous, high-ceilinged rooms in lush, well-kept gardens. It is perfect for anybody who is happy to make their own enjoyment. (more)
I don´t think that I've ever felt so relaxed. Staying in a simple (but clean and neat) hut in the jungle and listening to the sounds of birds and sometimes even elephants made me feel very, very, very happy and close to nature.
