Czech Republic farmstay accommodation
The whole experience was hugely rewarding and relaxing. The place is beautiful and the hosts are so warm and welcoming. As soon as I got home, I couldn't wait to tell all my friends to go! (more)Laura Lane
The traditional barbecue Nick and Dasha have prepared to us with Czech sausages coming from local farmers was really great. Being at the fireplace outside each one of us learning how to get the sausages at their best, is still one of the remarkable moments of our holidays, even for Manuel (our 7 year old son). (more)Pedro Moiteiro
The skiing was a highlight – downhill at the resorts and Nick’s impromptu cross-country skiing lesson which was good enough to set us off on a 8km cross-country track the next day. Marvellous! (more)David O Connell

Memorable parts? Soledad and Charles were incredible hosts. The surroundings were beautiful, the house was incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed the serene nature all around us. We also enjoyed visiting the llamas, who were quite hospitable! Tips? The location is off the beaten path, but well worth the effort if you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing place to visit. Bali eco bungalows in Indonesia
I hesitate to write this review for selfish reasons. Why? Because this holiday is so wonderful I'd rather keep it a secret! Situated on the southern slopes of Mt Batakaru in remotest Bali, this place is a pocket of paradise, far removed from the ravages of the 21st century. Having spent a week there I did not want to leave. (more)Daphne Donkin
Most memorable was walking through the rice-fields... It was just great. (more)Astrid Dello

Walkers accommodation in the Scottish Highlands, Scotland
Memorable parts? The hospitality shown by the hosts Rebecca and Andy, who welcome you warmly into their home. The meals were fabulous and the packed lunches the best yet. Tips? Stay longer than we did, do more walking than we did, it will be worth it. Local benefits? Yes - we walked into Aviemore, and took the local steam train back, had a drink in the local pub, bought goodies from the local store and visited a nearby village tearoom. Overall rating? Excellent,... (more)Stephen Brown

Umbria bed & breakfast accommodation, Italy
Memorable parts? We were very happy with our stay! This is a beautiful farmstay, which is lovingly cared for by the couple who run it and live there themselves. We didn't have a car, and they kindly picked us up from the station and also took us into town to do a food shop and also arranged and took us to the local restaurant who then gave us a lift back after our meal as the area doesn't have taxis. The room was comfortable and felt like it was newly renovated, even though the farmstay... (more)Anna and Craig Clarkstone

Gosh, difficult to say which part out of so many! I am reviewing the holiday five months later and still remember everything about our stay here. The delicious food and warm hospitality from the hosts, the beautiful scenery and the long walks will stay with me forever, I think. (more)Bill Reid
The kindness of our hosts, the nice balanced way they shared and included us in their individual enthusiasm and warmth, the pertinent information about local and Piemonte region, without coming too close were most memorable. Excellent holiday. (more)Anna Welsing
Whilst we have many very happy memories of our recent 5 weeks in Europe all involved voted that the week was 'the' most memorable. This was primarily a result of the passion that both Marla and Fabrizio bring to the running of the accommodation and to ensuring the comfort and enjoyment of their guests. Of course this professionalism is ably supported by the fantastic scenery and interesting history of the area. (more)Neal Dalgliesh

We loved it. Romania was something of a revelation, so many people thought we were a bit crazy to go to a country that tends to have a bad press, but we came across no problems whatsoever, it was one of the smoothest holidays in terms of organisation we have had. We hope to return and maybe stay in one of the Saxon villages next time. (more)Liz Pritchard
Fabulous. It was very interesting, we met some wonderful people and I came home feeling the most relaxed I had ever felt after a holiday. There is a small part of my heart left in Miklosvar and I will certainly return again one day. (more)Heidi Fuller

We stayed with Gilly as bed and breakfast guests for a week in early May this year and I thought I must write to say how friendly and welcoming Gilly and Robin were. They gave us a delicious breakfast each morning and made our stay very special by giving us lots of excellent information on exploring Naxos and tips on tavernas to eat at.
