The best part was undoubtedly the food. Practically everything on your plate comes from the estate, whether it be pork from their rare breed pigs or wild boar, vegetables from the garden or olive oil from the olive groves.  (more)

The most memorable part of our trip was most likely the scenery we loved the mountains and woodlands. The next was the food as Nick is no doubt an excellent chef and Dasha a specialist with deserts. (more)

Luxury Greek Island holiday accommodation
This really was the best holiday we have ever had, we have struggled in the past to find somewhere that everyone enjoys which is difficult with young active children, but this accommodation and Ithaca really did mean we relaxed and enjoyed time with them whilst they also had a great time. None of us wanted to leave and we will definitely go back.  (more)

The sheer beauty and peace of the landscape and the farm were most memorable... This place is best enjoyed as an opportunity to take time out and relax rather than as a base for lots of excursions. 10/10 - wonderful! (more)

Find out more about farmstays by reading these articles.

At responsibletravel.com we’ve seen interest in UK farmstay holidays more than double in the past year which is great news for the carbon footprint as well as a sign that getting out and about in the beautiful British countryside is still one of our favourite pastimes. The 106% increase in enquiries for our UK farmstay accommodation collection - many of which are certified as organic - also reflects a growing trend for more and more UK farmers to turn to travel and tourism - 'agro tourism' - as a means of subsidizing incomes. So, as it’s the Soil Association's Organic Fortnight (6-21 September) we thought we’d showcase some of our top farmstay accommodations for the perfect autumn break and talk to the people behind them.
