The entire experience was an absolute blast. The kindness of the staff - the peaceful location - the delicious food - the interesting history of the place- the wonderful antique furniture - the eccentric fellow travellers.... If you are after a different kind of holiday where you can both relax and have a few adventures this is it.
(more)It's hard to say what the most memorable thing was but one memory that stands out is being served an absolutely delicious breakfast every day at a table with a perfect white table cloth surrounded by flowers, friendly hens and kittens - all right on the edge of a stunning beach! We enjoyed every part of our holiday. The food was exceptional and the hotel could not be faulted in any way. We had two fantastic days out with Peter Jones a local bird expert who showed us all the wonderful birds and wildlife in the area. Thanks for including the lodge on your website. We would never have taken the five day desert safari without it as our destination. Our highlight of the trip was taking a half day camel trip into the sand hills behind the lodge. The camel guides and camels were great. (more)
It was just incredible- I honestly, honestly mean that and I can be very hard to please! I will never forget it and have come home feeling more rested and content than I have ever been before.
