The most memorable parts were the glorious autumn sun on the turning leaves. Not New England, but very beautiful. And ambling along the white sandy beaches and having them to myself, more or less!

We are still missing Islay and the cottage a few weeks after returning. It is a real family home that feels lived in and comfortable.
