The first sight of the view from the balcony was amazing - and it just carried on being great. Walking up the peak was also great - we saw ibex! Fabulous! Relaxing, interesting and inspiring. We want to come back and will recommend it to everyone we know!

(more)There were lots of memorable moments:- from lovely walks, beautiful surroundings of the hotel, really lovely owners, Ilaria and Derek, who couldn't have been more helpful, beautiful starry night sky and lots of different types of wild birds to be seen nearby.

The mountains, local environment and seeing an Eagle were the highlights...Self catering cottage looks very comfortable, we had a tour of the cottage, but stayed in the hotel which was equally good. (more)
We enjoyed every part of our holiday. The food was exceptional and the hotel could not be faulted in any way. We had two fantastic days out with Peter Jones a local bird expert who showed us all the wonderful birds and wildlife in the area. The hotel is in a lovely forested area, which is very handy for lots of places in Andalucia. The hotel is very relaxed and friendly. The most exciting part was seeing clouds of buzzards, vultures and eagles rising up over the plains on the thermals on their migration route over the Straits of Gibraltar.
