Unusual family friendly accommodation

I hesitate to write this review for selfish reasons. Why? Because this holiday is so wonderful I'd rather keep it a secret! Situated on the southern slopes of Mt Batakaru in remotest Bali, this place is a pocket of paradise, far removed from the ravages of the 21st century. Memorable parts? Hiking to the yurt with our rucksacks from Genalguacil village using the old donkey path. It was difficult but very rewarding. The peace and tranquility of the woodland yurt was priceless, especially lying in the hammock taking in the scenery. The eco loo environment was suprisingly comfortable. Memorable parts? It is so hard to pinpoint the best part; it was all a fabulous experience. This is a place where you can completely relax and refresh your mind, body and soul. You can mix with other guests, the family/staff that run it or just 'do your own thing'. The welcome is perfect and they seem to expertly gauge the level of contact each guest wants. Memorable parts? We (self and my friend Mr. V.N. Rajanna) definitely enjoyed our stay at the resort. The location and the ambience is fine but the approach and route is very difficult to follow and reach. Especially during the rainy season. I know you cannot do much about the road, but at least the sign boards should be more traveller friendly. Nrythyagam has very good directions boards from the moment we turn to the Hessarghatta road.
