Istanbul city break reply to this post
Hi,
I'm thinking about going to Istanbul for a few days this year. I've never been to Asia and thought Istanbul would be a gentle introduction! Does anyone have any advice on where to go and what to see? Would a long weekend be long enough?
Cheers

Why not head for a traditional hammam, a turkish steam bath and relaxing body scrub in a luxurious 16th century building in the heart of the city?

The Cemberlitas Hamam was buit in 1584 and lit by natural light which enters through shafts in the ceiling.

Hi Holly,

You should visit the historical part of city (hippodrome, blue mosque, hagia sofia, topkapi palace, grand bazaar)/Ortakoy & Bosphorus tour.

a weekend is not really enough but if yo do not have the time a weekend (with good organization) can be good enough for you to have the idea of the city.

hope that helps!
Sevin
