Weddings in Spain reply to this post
Having just returned from my fabulous wedding in Gran Canaria, I would recommend the Island to anyone looking at getting married abroad. We used the local wedding planners and they did a fantastic job, and saved us lots of money as well and it was a very memorable day

Sounds amazing - do you have any photos? Would love to see them!

I've heard it is easier to get married abroad than people think - there are companies who will sort out all the paperwork for you. Probably works out cheaper too - combining the wedding and honeymoon in one!

The paperwork was all sorted out by the wedding planners and we had 100 guests for just 5000 pounds and that included literally everything

Wow that’s really good, did everyone sort out their own accommodation or did you do it for them?

That is a great idea about using the local wedding planners - but becase they know we're probably tourists I dont want to get ripped off - but i'm sure with any deal theres always room for negotiation. I am planning my wedding but havnt decided on the location - been using Gekko (gekko.com) to help me because I tend to find that the hotel's room is ultimately the most important so trying to get that finalised as well :) arrgh weddings can be so stressful

Re: Weddings in Spain - alternative to Spain reply to this post
Hello there!
I see alot of excitement about Spain. :) I cant agree more, but I would like to suggest an alternative destination i choosed for myself. While getting ready for my own wedding I couldnt decide what destination would be the Most Romantic Place on the World. In other words, where to get married and where to spend the honeymoon. This is unique time in our lives and I didn’t want to spoil it by making bad choices. So, after searching for hours in the network, great idea came to me as I found really portal www.gamos-guide.gr Thanks to this portal my wedding and honeymoon take place in Greece. Of course, local wedding planners will be better choise. And just imagine the whole romantic atmosphere, sea, sunsets, history... "Mamma mia.."

Re: Weddings in Spain reply to this post
your wedding sounds amazing, I am currently trying to decide where to get married as all I know so far is that I want to go abroad and get married somewhere sunny and relaxed, without too much of the normal hassle. There's a place called Savusavu Bay in the Fiji Islands which has views to die for and is the perfect location for a wedding, a friend of mine went there on her honeymoon and said it was stunning. She stayed the Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort and the honeymoon was a major success, so I'm considering going there for my wedding! Has anyone been there or got any other ideas?

I think it is fab that people are marrying in different parts of the world. Me and my fiance are planning our wedding in 2 years time and we are also think about Spain. We both want to do it at the seaside so we are in process of looking for some amazing place that will be both picturesque and affordable! Lately we choosen ( [web link] ) Hotel Royal Garden in Tenerife because it offers fabolous seaview for all its guests.
Please let me know if you have something on your mind that would meet our needs, just a nice luxury seafront hotel anywhere in Spain.
Thanks
