I am a grandmother of four and have travelled independently to many countries since retiring but for the past 4 years I have been returning to Uganda
I have helped a small community in the south west Uganda to open a Guest House that is suitable for volunteers to stay awhile - and then help in the local schools, our own nursery school and with womens groups in the area.
I am now actively looking for volunteers to go out there - and be sure that any money they spend - either at the Lodge (£50 per week for full board & accommodation) will stay within and ultimately help that community

2004-2005 was a great period for us: 15 monts travelling around the world, from Mexico to Panama via central america, Equador to Chile, New Zealand and Australia (where we had studied and lived for a year previsouly) to finish the trip via Viet Nam, Laos, Thailand, Nepal and India...We have settled down now in St Jeannet, the home village of Benoit, certainly one of the most beautifull place in the world..."after Reunion Island !!! " adds Corinne :) (where she grew up and spent most her life). Now we are still looking for beautifull places to go, more special people to meet, and stay young forever :)

I have a Travel Agency in the US. I have a real passion for travel and have been on many trips. I live in Hawaii. I especially lovee the beauty of nature and wildlife. I especially love cruising. I love music and dancing. I like smiling and making friends with people around the world.

My greatest desire is to visit the Arctic and Antarctica and would love a female travel companion to share costs.

Love traveling independently and finding places as we go. Took our little boy back to Thailand this Jan when he was 18months and had the best holiday ever. Can't wait for another trip... maybe Japan, maybe Canada... xxx

I love travelling around the world and learning about new cultures. My dream was to visit Southeast Asia and after postponing that trip twice I managed to do it during 2008, a 3-months trip that I loved. While I was travelling around Laos I did some responsible tours and realised I have always been a responsible traveller without knowing it!
I have always enjoyed visiting social programmes, charities, and environmental projects during my trips, trying to get to the authentic locals and avoiding the most touristic places.
When I returned to Argentina, I decided to start organising responsible travel experiences in Buenos Aires for those who enjoy getting involved with the locals as I do when I travel.

I played the corporate game for a while, but found myself spending more time planning holidays than I was on my PowerPoint presentations. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to leave it behind and try something new for a while.

I have been living in and around the Middle East for almost five years, involving myself in Arabic language studies, non-government work, and tourism (both being a tourist and leading tours).

I am the founder of Backpacker Concierge ([web link], a travel consultancy based in Egypt and am passionate about the region I have chosen to live in and am excited to share it with you all.

after a while living on the same spot, i receive travel chillins, electro magnetic radiation that tells me to move on, something like that. Tenerife is where i live at the moment, enjoying my days working on an organic farm and exploring the volcanic island. There is much to see, some things of exagerating beauty, i love it. And there is lot to talk o mejor dicho listening, canarios love to express their opinion. When i think of it, fact is that i am living her, and not travelling, although it feels so. naja, feel free to ask what you feel i might know and keep travelling around. I will too.

have worked as an expedition leader/tour planner for over 10 years and have spend most of that time working in Africa, Asia, South America and the Middle East. Am now an office bod planning trips for Wild Frontiers Adventure Travel in London and get the odd trip as time off for good (or bad!) behaviour
