I think my love for travel comes from a passion for social politics and an experience of difference, and a woefully short attention span that renders me constantly (if not physically!) nomadic! As such, my appreciation for travel satisfies an opportunity to learn something new, whether that's simply a new perspective, or a completely different way of life. Since coming to work for responsibletravel.com I've been able to turn my vicarious nomadism to a whole new range of prospective destinations! Having confined my travels to predominantly Euro-American cultures so far, I'd like to get out of my comfort zone and try something more challenging in the near future. Any suggestions? Answers on an e-card... |

I love resposible and slow travel (adore hiking, the slowest possible travelling). I haven't been at a place yet that hasn't thrilled and enriched me, but for sheer awesomeness (both for geography and people, it'd be a tie between Morocco and Sri Lanka (Peace there NOW!!!) And as the experience of a lifetime? El Camino de Santiago! |

Hi there. I've worked as a freelance journalist for the past seven years, which has allowed me to travel all over the world by myself, writing and taking pictures of all the interesting things I see. I've pretty much travelled solo since I was 16, reckoning it to be the best way of meeting people and having the most adventures. Travelling alone can be both exhausting and daunting because there's nobody to act as a buffer between you and the world around you, or pick you up after a hard day. Or help to make decisions... (I'm rubbish at making decisions.) But on the flip side, everything that happens to you is you're own doing, and you can direct it however and wherever you want. You can please yourself. And you learn a great deal and have heaps of fun in the process. At the moment, I can't seem to get enough of South Africa, New York, Cambodia and Nepal. But I'd really love to visit Japan, Norway, Mali and India. |

Travel, for me, is about taking things in. I like to travel slowly. The slower you travel the more time you have to take things in. Travel and thinking is the best combination I know, travelthinking is what I would call it if it needed a name. Plus you travel responsibly when you think about how you travel and that is the only way to go for me, especially now I work for responsibletravel.com! |

Eager to travel more now that my husband has retired. Like non-touristy places with character best. Avid hiker/outdoors person, horserider, but love time in a city, enjoying art, culture, museums and people watching. Also love areas near the sea, rivers or lakes. |

I love travelling but Im working my way through Europe, as the environmental impact is not so great as those long haul trips! I really enjoy finding out whats its like to live like a local within the community so tend to steer clear of tourist traps wherever possible. My dream trip would be driving a motorhome across the West Coast of America, from Mexico to Alaska, to follow the Grey Whale migration. The best place I have been to so far would probably be the Isle of Mull, as I lived there for a while and have yet to find a place with so much to offer. I would love to visit South America, and the Far East, and last but not least the Galapagus Islands. |
