I've never been one to lounge on a beach all day while on holiday, i enjoy seeing what there is to see and learning about the history and culture around me while on holiday. I've seen most areas in the UK when i was younger with my parents and i'm looking forward to repeating the experience with my daughter over the coming years. There are still loads of places i want to visit all over the world including all the historical sites in Egypt, touring sri lanka, australia and new zealand and more of the US and caribbean but the one place i really want to go to is Kenya and experience a Safari, this will have to wait until my daughter is old enoughto enjoy the experience though. |

I am a paediatric endocrinologist, semi-retired. I travel extensively, writing articles for up-market glossies. Member of ITWPA and American Travel Writers' Bureau. Love life, love most people, and am especially susceptible, as one would expect, to the plight of children in third world countries. I would love to hear from people who feel similarly. Thanks I love travelling to South Africa, can never tire of the space, the vividness of the colours, the contrasts... I love the Caribbean, equally for the colour and contrast of life on the islands. I love train journies, and hope to take an inaugural trip on a new train in India during this September. |

Live in the Derbyshire Peak District, but spend lots of time at our other home in the Sierra Nevada mountains of Southern Spain - a real get away from it all escape. Enjoy walking and mountaineering, and exploring new places - still finding lots of these in Spain, as well as the occassional trip elsewhere. |

I enjoy independent travel although went on a group tour to Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa last year and it was good to have someone else doing the organising - and it was a brilliant trip. We are regular visitors to Goa, and visited Kenya this year - the people there really need tourists and it is well worth a visit - book trips, safaris etc. through the locals - much cheaper and good value and cash goes to the community. I would like to travel all over the world - am working on it! |
