I think my love for travel comes from a passion for social politics and an experience of difference, and a woefully short attention span that renders me constantly (if not physically!) nomadic! As such, my appreciation for travel satisfies an opportunity to learn something new, whether that's simply a new perspective, or a completely different way of life. Since coming to work for responsibletravel.com I've been able to turn my vicarious nomadism to a whole new range of prospective destinations! Having confined my travels to predominantly Euro-American cultures so far, I'd like to get out of my comfort zone and try something more challenging in the near future. Any suggestions? My favourite place at the moment (it changes almost daily)! is New York..I also love any beach and the snow... i have a passion for good food..The best meal i ever had was a lobster caught and cooked on a boat in cuba...I love to scare myself in the sea...be it on a board or on reefs diving and i would love to learn to sail..and i have big fascination for sharks..i met a few in the Barrier Reef! I have a burning urge to get close to some BIG bears, wolves, manatees, and flamingos...oh, and i really really want to drive from Boston to Key West, stopping off all the way! |

My feet are always itchy...I am addicted to travel, I love meeting new people from different countries and am genuinely fascinated with the differences and similarities between us all. This fits in quite nicely with my other passion-photography. Working for responsibletravel.com and being the main customer contact here means I am constantly browsing the site and helping people to choose a holiday from all the magical and exciting holidays we offer. |

I am a grandmother of four and have travelled independently to many countries since retiring but for the past 4 years I have been returning to Uganda I have helped a small community in the south west Uganda to open a Guest House that is suitable for volunteers to stay awhile - and then help in the local schools, our own nursery school and with womens groups in the area. I am now actively looking for volunteers to go out there - and be sure that any money they spend - either at the Lodge (£50 per week for full board & accommodation) will stay within and ultimately help that community See www.ugandalodge.com |

Hi! My name is Antonella and I am an Italian responsible traveller who enjoys actively interacting with the places I spend time in. Having spent most of my life believing that travelling was merely observing the particularities of a new places and peoples, I now enjoy feeling and discovering new cultures, environments and ways of living, while getting to know them from many different perspectives, points of view and points in time. I have also grown to love travelling in a group and, after having explored England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Austria, Russia, Marocco and Turkey togehter, we are now planning a new and exciting trip to Israel for next november!! In the meantime, not having been able to afford a trip to Japan for this august, we are hosting a week of Japanese art & culture in our organic farm with agriturism here in Borzonasca (Genova - Italia) which is, in the end, the greatest place I can advise anyone to visit...not just because we are here...but also because it is immersed in green woodland and embraced by two crystal-clear streams and hosted by people whose main aim is to be responsible both at home and abroad ;) |

We are passionate travellers and our biggest luck was to live as expatriots in beautiful Vietnam for almost 2 years. We used the time to travel whenever we had the chance and we've seen so many wonderful places in Vietnam. Can't say what the greatest place was: stunning Halong Bay, wonderful Sapa or Hue, amazing Mekong Delta or just our beloved Saigon. Furhtermore we made a dream come true and travelled to Borneo. It was a once in a lifetime experience to watch the sea turtles hatch on Sipadan Island. And jungle trips are our favourits ! Last but not least we made a wonderful trip to Queensland in Australia in a big autocamper. Our 3 kids enjoyed it so much. Back in Europe, we would like to change focus and to explore America - South or North or the Carribean. We are grateful for ANY recommendations you have for FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN ! |

Have enjoyed exotic beach holidays when childfree. Since having two children have been back to India but also really enjoy camping and Rv-ing. Have been to Ireland and Canada in an RV, fantastic scenery and complete freedom, as well as all the things you need for the kids travelling with you. |

I run a B&B on a farm in Northumberland. My dream is to produce as much as possible here, we already have our own hens, jam & marmalade produced on the farm, and handmade soap made on the farm. I am passionate about using local food and produce where possible and supporting local business. I enjoy holidays with activities, not so keen on beach holidays. Went to Thailand this year which was amazing |
