I am a grandmother of four and have travelled independently to many countries since retiring but for the past 4 years I have been returning to Uganda I have helped a small community in the south west Uganda to open a Guest House that is suitable for volunteers to stay awhile - and then help in the local schools, our own nursery school and with womens groups in the area. I am now actively looking for volunteers to go out there - and be sure that any money they spend - either at the Lodge (£50 per week for full board & accommodation) will stay within and ultimately help that community See www.ugandalodge.com |

I enjoy travel of any description. Give me ticket to anywhere and I will give it a go! Best placed ever visited is a hard one to answer - Zanzibar and Madagascar are high up on the list. My dream places to visit are Machu Picchu and Antartica. |

I am a Brit and one of the owners (along with my partner James- USA and Beat - SWISS) of a tour operator based in Guatemala that offers tours to Guatemala, Belize and Honduras. I have a baby daughter so Im learning to be a mum! I started working life as a mechanical engineer then went travelling and ended up volunteering and working for Save The Children in Columbia and Peru. After that I travelled throughout the Americas - driving from Guatemala to Canada before going back to work but this time in LA. I met James in LA (Helicopter Pilot) and we hatched a plan to start a travel company in Guatemala - a place we both loved - and the rest as they say is history!! |

Love traveling independently and finding places as we go. Took our little boy back to Thailand this Jan when he was 18months and had the best holiday ever. Can't wait for another trip... maybe Japan, maybe Canada... xxx |

Yellow Bear Journeys is an Eco-Tour Company that designs, plans, and guides tours mainly in the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii with a unique focus: Restoring the hope, strength, and joy of the participants, and bringing clarity to their next step in life. Our journeys are designed to reconnect every-day people with nature in gentle ways that allow enjoyment without overwhelming the participants. The rich, life-giving ecosystems of ocean beaches and rainforests are ideal environments to refresh those beleaguered by a modern lifestyle disconnected from nature, and those who have a nagging suspicion they’ve lost touch with their truest self and purpose. |

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.... Mark Twain |
