I moved to Grenada in 2000 to start a small sustainable resort. I have been going places during my former executive life; this is the nicest spot I could find. People are very nice, there is no racial issue at all, nature is beautiful and varied and violent crime is very low. It's not overrun by tourists. Hikers will love this paradise. |

I'm addicted to travel, but also an environmentalist, so constantly struggle with the conflict between the two. Having said that, Mark Twain was absolutely right when he said "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness", so everyone needs to do some travelling and I don't mean to ex pat resorts in the South of Spain. Favourite place must be New Zealand, although do love Norfolk, England, especially the north Norfolk coast. |

Love life, love most people, and am especially susceptible, as one would expect, to the plight of children in third world countries. I would love to hear from people who feel similarly. Thanks I love travelling to South Africa, can never tire of the space, the vividness of the colours, the contrasts... I love the Caribbean, equally for the colour and contrast of life on the islands. I love train journies, and hope to take an inaugural trip on a new train in India during this September. |

Have family in Australia and Reunion Island [Indian Ocean], visit when I can, with stopovers in interesting places. Like to sleep [relatively] cheap, eat local, spend discriminatingly. Too old for backpacking or tough adventure, like small hotels and soft adventure, meeting locals wherre possible. In past 2 yrs have been to Egypt, Malaysia [Penang & Melaka], Spain [Catalunya], Portugal [Algarve], Orkney, Singapore, and of course Oz. Coming to Scotland?
