My husband and I enjoyed traveling independent to most countries while we were ex-pats in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. We traveled from Bangkok to Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam on our own, traveling mostly by bus and walking a lot in the cities. One of our greatest adventures, however, was traveling with our son and a group on the train from Beijing to Mongolia and Moscow, then onto St. Petersburg by ourselves. We had traveled by bus tour from Helsinki to St. Petersburg and Moscow the year before. |

I grew up traveling because of my Dad's job with American Airlines. I've backpacked around Europe, done a 4 star tour of France, enjoyed corporate award travel to Alaska, the Bahamas and within the U.S. Our greatest trip was last summer to Kenya for a three week visit with missionary friends. I'm focused on getting a great value and getting to experience something away from the crowds! |
