I love going places where locals--friends or guides--can share real experiences of local culture, nature, food, everything. I like to get behind the scenes and stay as long as I can so that I can understand the place and the people as much as possible (perhaps because I've worked in community development in Central America). I love most places in Latin America, like Kuna Yala in Panamá, the Andes mountains in Venezuela, Tikal and Machu Picchu because I love the food and the people, but I also really enjoyed the creature comforts and history of Japan. |

I enjoy all types of travel from backpacking to luxury! I travelled for a year in South and Central America and have also visited many other parts of the world including Australia, NZ, Oman, China, Thailand, Singapore and lots of places in Europe. Most recently I had a city break in Athens which was wonderful. One of my favourite places is Mexico and I think Mexico City is one of those underated cities. It is a fantastic place with fascinating sights, great food and wonderful shopping! |

I like to travel independently and without a plan. That way you can stay in a place as long as you like. I am always very active when travelling: bunjee-jumping in New Zealand, diving in Australia, surfing in Bali, climbing volcanoes in Nicaragua, hiking in Vietnam and mountain biking in Laos! |
