I think my love for travel comes from a passion for social politics and an experience of difference, and a woefully short attention span that renders me constantly (if not physically!) nomadic! As such, my appreciation for travel satisfies an opportunity to learn something new, whether that's simply a new perspective, or a completely different way of life. Since coming to work for responsibletravel.com I've been able to turn my vicarious nomadism to a whole new range of prospective destinations! Having confined my travels to predominantly Euro-American cultures so far, I'd like to get out of my comfort zone and try something more challenging in the near future. Any suggestions? Answers on an e-card... |

My favourite place at the moment (it changes almost daily)! is New York..I also love any beach and the snow... i have a passion for good food..The best meal i ever had was a lobster caught and cooked on a boat in cuba...I love to scare myself in the sea...be it on a board or on reefs diving and i would love to learn to sail..and i have big fascination for sharks..i met a few in the Barrier Reef! I have a burning urge to get close to some BIG bears, wolves, manatees, and flamingos...oh, and i really really want to drive from Boston to Key West, stopping off all the way! |

I'm a sustainability consultant with an interest in wildlife and wild places. So far, Africa is my passion with Madagascar and Gabon on my 'can't wait to go' list - I also love the Kruger and I'm just back from a great self drive safari there which was incredible - see my photo album. In 2010, I'm looking forward to seeing the mountain gorillas in the Virungas in Rwanda - I won the trip through entering a random Sunday newspaper competition. Antarctica and South America, in particular Guyana and Patagonia, are also places I'd like to explore. |

In particular, I love the culture architecture and cuisine of Italy , the beaches and friendly faces of the Caribbean and the wild splendour of Canada. There are so many places I want to see. |

I'm only just starting to get a little more adventurous with my travel plans and am leaving the safety of Canada, the USA and the UK behind! Last stop was Sri Lanka, onwards to Namibia! Where ever I'm going it has to give me a good flavour of the local culture and small group or private group travel is great. |

Travel, for me, is about taking things in. I like to travel slowly. The slower you travel the more time you have to take things in. Travel and thinking is the best combination I know, travelthinking is what I would call it if it needed a name. Plus you travel responsibly when you think about how you travel and that is the only way to go for me, especially now I work for responsibletravel.com! |

I used to work in ethical tourism devlopment and I've travelled extensively in Europe and Africa as well as in North America, Canada, Asia, Scandinavia and the Middle East. I know Scotland like the back of my hand and reckon that the UK in general is a much underestimated holiday destination. I once spent the day sitting on the very edge of Victoria Falls, and that wasn't a bad day at all... Some of my most wonderful travel experiences include sitting wrapped up in my sleeping bag on the back of a slow moving truck with a cup of tea as I watched the sun rise at Mount Kilimanjaro; getting soaked watching porpoises leap through rainbows to chase the ferry from Raasay to Skye; speeding through the streets of Bangkok in a tuktuk; blowing away the cobwebs watching orcas off of Vancouver Island; wandering along a midnight beach in Zanzibar... My wish list includes: the Trans Siberian express, doing the proper old fashioned Grande Tour, New Zealand, Australia & Tasmania, and I have a sneaking suspicion that if I went to Madagascar or Borneo I might never come home again. Turkey and Jordan are next on my hit list. I'm desparate to get to Petra. These days I plan my travels with two little guides in tow... |

My travel obsession... going to natural places, full of wildlife, mountains, rivers... I love also be in contact with persons, hearing about their life experience, learning about their culture. I want to go to Alaska, to walk along the East Coast Trail in Canada, cross a desert, be close to orcas and maybe, spot a orangotango in Borneo... There is so much to see... |
