India: Now is the time to Go!!
Posted 29 Oct 2009 by Aline Dobbie
Aline and Graham DobbieINDIA is discovering that having experienced a tourism boom in the last five years now reality has struck once again as a result of the global recession and the impact of that on western travellers, and also because of last November's tragic terrorism attack.

For years I have thought that a majority in the tourism and hospitality industry had become greedy, and with it arrogant and inevitably n...more...
AMAZING cakes!

The best place to go in Brighton for a huge piece of cake and coffee when you're tired from shopping is the Choccywoccydoodah's cafe. Located in Middle Street it serves huge pieces of handmade cakes such as chocolate chilli cake, coffee cake, lemon cake and of course chocolate cake...all embellished with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, swirls of coulis and drizzled with chocolate. They are always to...more...

Best place to live in Germany
Posted 21 May 2009 by Margaret
MargaretWe found this place by accident in 2004 - we chose the house rather than the village it was in. In the 5 years since then, we have woken up every morning and been thankful that we chose to settle here rather than anywhere else.
I had always had holidays in Germany and Austria with my children - the first time my son came here he said: 'This is like all the places we ever went on holiday rolled in...more...

This is a special place and food and service is wonderful.... it made our stay in Bath feel that extra bit special.

Prices are reasonale given the fabulous quality of food... the lunch menu price is often still available in the evening if you are lucky so we did not have to eat off the a la carte m...more...

The new Therma Spa is a luxury to enjoy if you have the time and cash!
I booked in for the 4 hour session of wondering through the pools and steam rooms and roof top bath (at a constant bath water temperature- lovely!)

I did worry if I would get board and though I may have been better getting just a 2 hour pass... but I happily whiled away the hours (after 2 hours I got into "the chill out zon...more...

Weaving clothThis island is just beautiful.

Each village has its own speciality craft: woodworking, stonecarving, silversmithing, batique, painting... It's worth taking the time to look at them all. Everything looks so cheap that we ended up spending a lot of money, but didn't regret any of it.

The Bali Hyatt hotel is brilliant - the staff are beautiful, polite, and oh so helpful, the food is out of t...more...
