For years I have thought that a majority in the tourism and hospitality industry had become greedy, and with it arrogant and inevitably n...more...
Chillout and become at one with nature at Centre Parcs
Posted 17 Jul 2009 by clare fisher
I recently went to Centre Parcs for a Hen do and although I actually had no idea what I was going to be doing there I have to say it was actually a lovely secluded getaway.

It took two hours to drive from Oxford to Longleat Centre Parcs and a pretty drive past Stonehenge, if you take the country roads. It was very simple to find, and before I knew it I was driving past the Centre Parcs welcome...more...

Weaving clothThis island is just beautiful.

Each village has its own speciality craft: woodworking, stonecarving, silversmithing, batique, painting... It's worth taking the time to look at them all. Everything looks so cheap that we ended up spending a lot of money, but didn't regret any of it.

The Bali Hyatt hotel is brilliant - the staff are beautiful, polite, and oh so helpful, the food is out of t...more...

Tobogganing in Tamar ValleyThe Julian Alps offers diverse fun and adventure in the sun and snow.
For free fun all you need is a toboggan (sanke) and good walking boots and if you are prepared to walk through "Narnia" like scenery for an hour or two up tracks then you will be rewarded by the ultimate sledge run home, requiring a bit of skill with steering.
