We’ll be needing a good break after all the planning for the wedding and thought that Borneo could be a great destination for us! Here’s one of the trips that we’re interested in case anyone wants to get an idea of the kind of things we hope to do Borneo holidays, tailor made

As everyone knows I’m wildlife mad so it’s a real dream of mine to be able to try and see Orangutans in the wild. So we’re planning on spending time in the rainforest trekking and wildlife spotting and then go onto Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary and meet them up close. Then we plan to spend some time exploring the cultural side of Borneo and visiting the head hunter tribal longhouses which are absolutely fascinating.

Sam is quite keen to climb Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Borneo, so looks like I’ll have to take my trainers with me. I’m sure the view will be worth it though! We’re then going to head to Turtle Island for some total, and well needed, relaxation. The reefs around there are some of the best in the world so going to do a scuba dive or two. I also can’t wait to just chill out on the beautiful beaches there for a few days!
